Salute Premium Hotel & Spa

The location is excellent for access to the old part of Hanoi. The hotel is nice and quiet inside, unlike the very lively and hectic scenes that typify old Hanoi, and there are lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. within a 5 minute walk. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a reasonable size (not massive) and they are very comfortable and clean and the showers had good water pressure. The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant had a good selection of food to cater for a range of appetites. The hotel does not have a bar but this is not a problem because there are some excellent street bars within 100 metres and an excellent cocktail bar almost opposite the hotel entrance.

We stayed 2 days and everything was perfect. We had booked a taxi to pick us up from the airport and even though our flight arrived at 11 p.m., Tina followed up to make sure the taxi would be at the meeting point. When we arrived, there was someone to welcome us even though it was past midnight, we had talked about wanting SIM cards and the next morning the cards were there for us and they even replaced the cards for us and made sure everything was working well. Lunch was excellent with several choices and the bed was very comfortable, the room very clean and a great location. They organized our transport to Sapa and even prepared lunch for us on the road, taking the time to come and greet us outside. We really felt that they were there for us, it was very reassuring. Extremely kind and very welcoming people. I highly recommend. Thank you all

Seriously the best hotel we’ve stayed in while traveling Asia. Very clean, tasteful interior and style, friendly and welcoming staff happy to help whenever needed. High quality Western and Asian Breakfast complimentary in the price. Great location within the heart of Hanoi with every attraction within walking distance. Best price - performance ratio I’ve encountered so far! Additionally, upon arrival we were greeted with a hot cup of tea, a hot towel to clean our hands and a written guide with useful information about Hanoi, the best local food spots, tourist attractions, shopping locations and other useful information like possible scam sites and so on. Totally recommend!

Review We stayed at the hotel twice since we returned to Hanoi for a domestic flight. There isn’t anything I could fault about this hotel and it is certainly a welcome reprieve after exploring the hectic streets of the Hanoi old quarter. All of the staff at the hotel are lovely, smiley and very welcoming. We were given a guide to the main attractions close by and also provided with a map. A staff member even sat with us to go through the map and food suggestions. All of the staff speak impeccable English and whilst I don’t expect this as a visitor of Vietnam, it certainly is appreciated. We were also repeatedly asked how our days were and greeted every time we came back to the hotel. There were also no issues with the cleanliness. As someone who is very conscious on cleanliness, there was nothing I could fault. We had stayed in two different rooms during our time here and both rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were also comfortable. You can hear some noise from outside but this never impacted our sleep and it is to be expected in a city like Hanoi, especially since the hotel is based in the old quarter where the buildings may be a bit dated. It adds to the charm of staying in a very lively part of Vietnam. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options to choose from. The fruit was fresh and there was also the option of juices and yoghurt which a lot of hotels don’t normally provide from my experience. You can also order hot food which is at no extra cost, including Pho variations and eggs cooked in any conceivable manner. One of the staff members had even thoughtfully remembered mine and my partners repeat order. The staff definitely are the standout of the hotel but everything is excellent and staying here certainly elevated our experience of Hanoi!
